How should I care for a sperm whale tooth?

Handle it with clean, dry hands and avoid dropping or striking it.
Does every piece require CITES documentation?
CITES requirements depend on the specimen and the transaction. For items subject to CITES requirements, we provide the appropriate CITES documentation or permit required for the shipment and destination. Additional import authorization may also be required by the buyer’s country.
Can I sell a sperm whale tooth that I inherited?
Potentially, but the legality depends on the specimen, its history, location, and applicable laws. If you are considering selling an inherited piece, preserve any family records, photographs, receipts, permits, or other provenance documentation that may accompany it.
